My WICC Journey

From mentee to mentor to leader - how WICC has shaped my Cornell experience

Mentorship Program

Freshman Fall

I was a mentee in the program. Found a supportive community and wanted to give back to help others find the same support I received.

Co-Treasurer

Freshman Spring

Tracked WICC's expenses, saw behind the scenes of how and where we spent our money, what events we put on, and operational aspects of running the organization.

Social Co-Director

Sophomore Fall + Spring

Planned G-Bodies, socials, and events focused on uniting people and building community connections.

Vice President of Community

Junior Fall + Spring

Oversaw expansion of the Mentorship program, more allyship workshops, and social events to strengthen our community.

Key Initiatives & Impact

Major programs and events I've led to strengthen our community

Mentorship Program Expansion

Expanded our mentorship program to serve more students, creating meaningful connections between upperclassmen and underclassmen. Organized mentor-mentee matching events and provided ongoing support to ensure successful relationships.

Allyship Workshops

Boosted allyship workshops to educate the broader Cornell community about supporting women and gender minorities in computing. These workshops help create a more inclusive environment across campus.

Community-Building Events

Organized and executed various community events including G-Bodies, socials, and volunteer opportunities. These events unite our community and create lasting friendships among members.
