Technical Support Role

Ensuring seamless technology infrastructure for academic and campus events

As a Tech Aide for the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, I provide essential technical support for video conferencing, webinars, and classroom technology across four buildings on campus. This role combines my technical skills with customer service, ensuring faculty and students can focus on their academic work without technology interruptions.

Working across multiple buildings including breakout rooms, conference rooms, event spaces, and classrooms, I maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment, set up technology for events, and perform regular maintenance checks. This position has strengthened my problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge while developing my communication skills in a service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Core duties and technical support provided

Video Conferencing & Webinar Support

Provide comprehensive support for faculty and students using video conferencing platforms and webinar tools. Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of audio/video quality for remote learning and virtual meetings.

AV Equipment Setup & Maintenance

Set up and maintain AV equipment for events and classrooms across four levels of campus facilities. Ensure all technology is properly configured and functioning for optimal user experience during presentations and events.
